Main Character really holds up to its name. It is bold and strong and has a complex flavor profile that jives well on its own, as well as when made into a latte. This came with the kit which was the coolest ever! Carefully curated and well-thought, this matcha is an instant game-changer.

My honest first impression based on my personal experience: Upon opening, the powder greeted me with a fresh, grassy, and slightly nutty aroma + that vibrant green color we all love! While whisking, it bloomed into a bold marine aroma + the taste leans more towards vegetal flavor with hints of florals and roasted cashews. The overall taste: umami + grassy + floral + toasty?! 🤯😍 YES PLS!!! 🤌🏻✨ I’d say this is a medium to full-bodied matcha, perfect for beginners. And I was also genuinely amazed at how perfect the microfoam turned out on my first try 🥹☁️ super creamy with a smooth finish, and not gritty at all. I added pistachio milk and agave, and boom !!! 🤯💥 The latte was perfectly balanced, enhancing the nutty profile thanks to the milk, without overpowering the matcha flavors. It had zero bitterness, little to no astringency, and a lingering, satisfying, sweet aftertaste. 💚🥹☁️

My honest opinion, I did not enjoy the matcha. I actually had to make it several times to find a-decent balance to enjoy it as a latte. To me, it felt very grainy, and-very bitter, and not much Umami with no sweetness or creaminess to the matcha. I couldn’t tell it was truly Japanese ceremonial grade or cafe chines grade. Sorry

Perfect everyday matcha powder!! Strong profile with little to none astringency. Deep green color and smooth finish.

This is a crowd pleaser! Taste is not to strong yet still shines in a latte. Reminiscent of toasted nori. would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good matcha for their lattes.
