Tsuyuhikari from Kagoshima

A floral matcha with a little extra nuttiness and honestly, I’m not mad about it. 🍵 Unlike the other Tsuyuhikari cultivar matchas I’ve tried, this one from Rebel Bunny leans more toward the umami and nutty side (in my experience) with just enough bitterness and astringency to keep things interesting. Lingering aftertaste is a bright, elegant note of soft boiled greens, which feels refined. Prepared with 4 g of matcha powder, 8 g of agave, 45 ml of water at 75°C, and 90 ml of Oatside oat milk

The gentle floral notes immediately stood out, and they come through just as beautifully as described. Balanced by delicate umami and a clean sweetness, Tsuyuhikari feels elegant without ever becoming overpowering. While I really enjoyed it with coconut water, it truly won me over as a latte.
