Upon opening, a comforting aroma reminiscent of graham cracker is accompanied by the gentle fruitiness of apricot. Once whisked, a grounding, genmai-like aroma emerges, adding a subtle toasted dimension that carries beautifully onto the palate. Despite these deeper notes, the cup remains light and composed, with little bitterness and a clean, easy-drinking finish.
With milk, its graham cracker-like sweetness becomes even more pronounced, bringing to mind the comforting sweetness of milk left at the bottom of a bowl of cereal. Creamy, familiar, but quietly indulgent.
With this matcha, we wanted to share a profile unlike anything else currently in our lineup, and with it, a different kind of calm. The kind found in familiar flavors and the small comforts that make an ordinary day feel a little more special.
